settled on a tank and now mocked up UPDATED with PIPES |

I think I cut apart 4 gas tanks and pieced them back together a couple times each before I gave up and ordered another tank called a deadmans tank that CCI
used to sell...it came in and I knew immediately that is was too big...hell it was 14" wide and 25" long...so what did I do to this brand new tank?
I cut it up of course, lol...I took 5" out of the middle of it and 3" off the rear...NOW it fits.
what do you think?

Good looking tank, but if that's a recessed cap, don't get caught in the rain..LadyDr can tell you all about the fun he had with his last year.

I always worried about the hidden caps and rain....do they just suck or what? this one seems nice, but still doesnt look to seal much of anything due to the
venting....dont like riding in the rain anyway...will if I have to, its just sort of painful.
 the raised panel is part of the same tank...its what I removed
from the middle of the tank...then I sliced enough metal to allow me to bend the two halves together till they were far enough apart for the cap to fit in
between them and tacked them in place enough to cut the excess out and then tack that panel back on after reforming it to fit the tank again as its shape had
changed a good amount...planning on the edges of that panel to be in gold leaf if I find the patience to do the leaf.

It is so gay it scared the forks away. I am TOTALLY KIDDING!!!! That is one of the coolest tanks I have ever seen, great job!
If I can't kill it, f*#k it, or paint flames on it...I have no use for it.

well....the forks made their way back baz...I guess the hole in the neck was a little to tempting and needed to be filled...this is the majority of the bike
mocked up..still have to finish and mount the tank and a few little things, but its almost ready for paint...cant wait to ride it...im going to extend the
handlebars and see how that does for control...theya re too narrow and not quite long enough to be comfortable..hopefully adding 6" to the ends and
slugging them will fix that without having to kill any exposed chrome (I was going to cut them in half and reweld them in the center bar)
