CMA is going on it's Run For The Son fundraiser ride tomorrow. We raise money for several different missions, including local support for our Reps that go to Bike Events in the USA. All of our events are open to the public and we highly encourage everyone to come and ride with us, member or not. There is no obligation to give money or anything. We just like having others join us on any sort of ride. So, if you are looking for a fun 100 mile scoot tomorrow, go to our national website http://www.cmausa.org/ and then navigate to find a Chapter near you. If that Chapter is doing what they are supposed to, there will be times and directions on where to meet them for their RFS ride. If there isn't info there, there should at least be a phone number and/or email address for a Chapter Officer. But then it might be a little late for you to get to Iowa. ;-) Unless a particular CMA Chapter has been lax in their webmastering (and some unfortunately are) there is at least a contact phone number for Monthly meeting info, etc. I was the webbie for our Chapter until just recently and this was one of the directives passed down from our State Directors. Unfortunately, as I just mentioned, not everyone has complied for whatever reason. Not my place to judge though. My purpose for pointing out the RFS event IS a bit last minute for fundraising purposes but that wasn't my main intent. Tomorrow is Saturday and depending on the local weather, a lot of our two wheeled brethren will be going out for a scoot somewhere. This was intended as an optional idea. It doesn't take but a simple phone call to a local chapter (or even to a State rep) to get some info. It's only about 9:30 on the East Coast. Not too late for a phone call. Too bad about the local chapter info though. Like I said, not everyone is as proactive or at least diligent on their chapter sites.
