It's been in the 70's the past few days here in Oklahoma
Lynn and I rode Sat I rode by myself Sunday
Anyway rode some today then Lynn gets home parks in the yard comes in the house and says lets go
So here goes
Left out of OKC at 5:15
Tearing the bonds of the city we head west on the mother rode Rt66
we are riding what we call our small loop
Out of Bethany towards Yukon at points west
We roll into Yukon just a short hop from our house (6 Miles)
Through Yukon we start loosing the 5 oclock home bound traffic
We head out of Yukon for a 22 mile ride to El Reno
we still have some home bound traffic and see a few city bound motorcycle riders
as we make our way through El Reno all traffic seems to disapear
we turn north on Hwy81 and head to the far end of our
This area of our ride is mostly farm country
Few house but not many
I tell Lynn that it's going to get cold from here back to the house
I wasn't wrong
We ride through what I call valleys (you guys might not)
But it's warm at the top and cool at the bottom
we turn east onto hwy 3 heading back into OKC
this is the longer part of the ride because it takes the long way back to town
Up and down the hills and valleys
I'm putting more speed on Skull to try to move fast through the lows
to keep Lynn from getting to cold
We make the trip in about a hour and 25min
I guess the one thing that stuck in my mind on tonights ride
We are all guests as we ride no matter where we are at
We pass through the towns and we pass through the peoples lives
as we ride we see moms and dads getting home from work
or getting ready to go to eat
living there lives as we pass through
have you ever given any thought to this
we are just ripples or blubs to these people
We are guests as we ride
I am glad we are allowed to pass
For those of you who can't ride
for what ever reason this ride
was for you
"now I'm going to eat supper"
