I have a vintage Triumph Oil tank, nice chrome, not show, but nice, that I want to cut the feed/return pipes off, and conver it to use with the 750.
Sounds simple enough, in looking at it , there are 2 lines, no vent line, unless one of these is a vent line, then one of the lines has the right angle feed line. At least that is what I thought it was for, to fee the top end on the Triumph motor. there is a small "knob" , ( yeah, I know pictures, I'll put a link to them up shortly), that I would think comes from an internal vent. I want to remove some ot this stuff and put the appropriate fittings on it to use on a project.
I have attempted to sell this amongst the Triumph folks on egay, did get anywhere near what I paid for it, $100, which I thought was a good deal on a Santee Oil Tank. hence my thoughts on cutting it apart and get rid of the small diamter tubes.
Any suggestions, or am I attacking it correctly, still think I should add a vent line. AND, looking inside it appears one tube, with the right angle kicker on it, goes all the way to the top of the tank, which seemded odd??
