So I've been on the site for a couple of years lurking and working on a free backyard found '74 CB750 when I finally got the bug to turn it into something else. I'd had a couple of ideas. I originally thought I'd build myself a bagger, but after I'd acquired a few other bikes including a full dress Venture, I'd decided it was time to Kong.
I'd decided on a Kong due to the fact that I'd probably never be able to afford a hardtail or a custom frame and since I liked the idea of a solo seat, Konging was the way to go. I liked the idea of a larger tank, something that would sweep back with little curl, so I bid on some tanks on ebay. Nothing came my way until a dented Dyna Wide Glide tank and fenders came my way. The fenders weren't exactly what I wanted, but I found a style to go with and I got started.
I soon added a chrome oil tank from LRT, a set of baby apes from Ratcollector, a whitewall tire and Harley wheel from a swap meet that Baz laced to my Honda hub and a lepera solo seat and the bike started to take shape. Things were rolling along and starting to look like a chopper......or at least so I thought.....
That's when a chance craigslist encounter changed everything. $300 later and some poking and proddding from LRT and Baz and an early afternoon pickup ride to Forest Lake and this arrived.
As my wife would tell me later, "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE NOW?"

She's been out in the elements a few years and she's missing a pipe, but somewhere under that rust and ages was a show bike at one time. The front hub has been ground into a hexagon, that's a Donnie Smith fender and there's a chrome swingarm. (well, it was at one time).

Yeah, that's a square tubed girder. Oh and a rusty Honda shock.

That white stuff is fake fur and a hexagon oil tank.

What do you think, guys and gals?
