Building a springer and have discovered I need to know if there is a standard leg length difference usually used.
Obviously there needs to be enough length to make the throw, but this still leaves plenty of different lengths that can be used.
Without putting much thought to it yet, I haven't determined the length of the rockers yet either nor given any thought to how this may effect the question I ask here.
Anyone experienced in building springers that can shed some light in on this?
I need to know what wall thickness of tubing can be used as well. I know some use solid. I am thinking DOM is okay here if the wall thickness is chosen properly. Should I be going thicker if the length is longer or the rake more laid out?
