hey guys, when i originally set my bike up, with the original frame, i took a bit of time ,and a lot of machine work on the carrier, making sure it all lined up. the vlx wheel was not meant for a cb750. lol. i had to get a thinner bearing ( which was also smaller OD ) and i had to do a good bit of machine work just to make that work.
anyhow, since i got hit, i had to change frames and the new frame is different. besides all the other things that had to change, i have discovered that, in order to line everything up, i need to move the wheel 3/16" to the left. so, i need to ditch the bearing all together and weld the carrier to the wheel hub. so, since hondas don't have the mechanical set up ( like HDs ) to run without a cush drive system, i'm wondering what negative effect it may have running a honda without the cush drive.
so, do any of you guys who are running HD wheels, and don't have a cush drive set up, have any input? thanks.
