To remove that is. Trying to replace the old fork seals in the GL1100 front front end on my chop and I was all afraid of the snap rings after hearing of them breaking over on the Goldwingfacts.com board, but they came out real easy (probably because they have been soaking in ATF that has been leaking out of my forks for like 3 weeks now). I left the forks on the bike as I don't have a bench vise or anything to clamp them in and I am now trying the slide hammer routing with the lower legs and am getting nowhere fast! Damn them things are in there! If I didn't love the look of that wide hydro fork and my dual front disks I think I'd be on ebay right now shopping for a springer to replace it with.
Well I sprayed them down with a little wd40 to maybe help but I don't think it need more lube (remember the ATF soak?) I think I've just got weak after not working for 2 years. I'm gonna have a couple of PB&Js for lunch now and then go back to it, wish me luck.
