OUTSIDE, under a tarp...ALL winter..
pulled the tarp off, put my throttle assembley & cable back on, put on a clutch handle I had stashed on it (bike fell over last fall, onto my sled, which resulted in scratches on my sled hood, and a broken clutch handle on my bike)..
anyway, my fuel line was litteraly, laying on top of my motor, aparently some time ver winter, it must have just rotted/fell apart..LOL
needless to say, it still had a upwards bend in it, so i figured all kinds of moisture etc, problem done settled in my fuel line..but...this is above the filter..so i figured no debri would have got to the carbs..
anyway, i hooked it up to the charger for just a few minutes...long enough for the head light to "glow a little"..lol
turned the key on, and it fired up and idled PERFECTLY on the first kick!!
just got back from about a 20 mile ride, and she`s running like a rapped APE!! to my surprize...my clutch plates were`nt even stuck like they pretty much always are in the spring when I first fire er up....LOL
"my bike starts better/quicker with EI"......... my ass..(if your bike does infact start quicker with EI, that`s because it was/is in a sad sate of tune to begine with ..)
ALL stock points and charging system over here (Stock/same points since 1974..LOL) and about a 5 year old POS battery...how much quicker/better can a bike start then the very first kick after setting outside under a tarp ALL winter in michigan!!..LOL
