I used to be one 30 plus years, now truck driver. Spoked wheels (old school) stock rear brake. I trying to make a good handling old school bobber, thats why I have a little more clearence then my last bike www.hondachopper.com/choppers65.html (bottom of page). The only "new school" item is a mountain bike shock for the seat if that doesn't work (comfort wise) a air cylinder out of a semi truck seat. OLGRAYBEARD mail1948@yahoo.com

This one was $200 complete on EBAY even front wheel and calipers (not on yet) everything except clutch and brake control and stem nut (Anyone got a spare stem nut or dual disk brake control laying around) OLGRAYBEARD mail1948@yahoo.com

That tends to say that the later ones are different.. The 75-76 Gold Wing has 37mm tubes .. 2mm larger than stck SOHC 750s. http://www.lowridersbysummers.com/

But .. the 78 GL has 37mm tubes as well as the 75-76 GLs .. The 75-76 GLs call for the same bearing set as the SOHCs... So .. you could use 75-76 GL trees and 78 tubes and all thats attached .. I believe Camel has a set of 75-76 trees sitting around .. http://www.lowridersbysummers.com/

There is two different bolt patterns for the brake adapters. I learn everything the hard way, but I learn good! Steve
