The dude who sold it to me was a real stand-up guy, even delivered the bike to me an hour and a half away. I'm not sure if this is the proper protocol for posting- I think I'm supposed to post here- but a bunch of guys from Southern California said they could help me out with the bike, and I would really, really appreciate that. I live in Santa Monica, about 2 miles from the beach. http://picasaweb.google.com/nlosangeles/HondaCB750Choppers#5400320542091485506 As you can see from the pictures, the bike needs a lot of work. I'm trying to charge the battery right now, but it seems pretty dead and won't hold the charge. I can't figure out how I'm supposed to get it out of the holder. It needs a new petcock since its leading a little fuel. The rear brakes can't be activated because the lever seems bent out of place. These are the biggest issues I'm aware of. I'm a newbie- I've only been riding for two years- and any help is very welcome. My mechanical knowledge is "little to none" but I look forward to learning from the experts. I'm pretty free this weekend-both saturday and sunday, which is definitely short notice. Ill be out of town next weekend. Otherwise, maybe we can arrange something for later. Thanks for all your feedback guys- I'll gladly compensate you with beer, and college girls hahaha

Posts: 5480 (11/05/09 4:38 PM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	Ok dude, before you get the cart ahead of the horse, got a CLymers manual? get one, read it, the parts about rear brakes? read that, and naything posted here about brake arm position, then worry about parts you need. DO not just rip it apart, take some pictures, keep them in order as you remove parts, that way you know how it went, even if it was wrong, it went that way. you make improvements from there. Look at weld joints and see if maybe there should have been a gusset someplace where there isn't one, (under the seat and beside the oiil tank where that long run comes down and there is nothing there to support but tubing, just a thought) If you keep track with pictures, and run into a jam, somebody in NJ can see what the error is or where you need help. without the pics, you can't get help as easily. Posts: 4868 (11/09/09 1:16 AM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	If you don't have a manual,go here and download the shop manual and save it to your hard drive.Then just print out the pages you need as you need them ( don't try to print it out all at once,or it'll likely cost you more in paper and ink than you could buy one for ) It's the fourth one from the bottom .You've got about nine months until the West Coast Honda Chopper Meet in Auburn.If you ain't got it running by then,load it on a trailer or in the back of a truck and bring it up.If you don't see any frame numbers on it,they may be covered by the molding in the neck area.........................................
