Greetings all. I was trying to restore an 83 Goldwing, until I found out how bad the gas tank is.I don't want to do what it will take to get the tank out!
The Goldwing has a ton of potential, but I have other, four wheeled priorities instead. So while I was/am trying to find the GW a new home, I got a smoking deal on a chopper frame and front end.
The GL 1100 will not fit with out stretching the frame another 12 inches or so. I guess I could, but I'd rather not. I don't have my own welder, but I have a pretty well stocked box, and 2 years of auto tech at BSU under my belt.
So, I just wanted to say hi, and please don't hate me for my stupidity. And, if you know anybody who wants an 83 Aspencade to restore please, have them email me! Also, I'm interested in trading my GW, for any other 750/1100 inline four as a donor for my new chopper frame. I also have a HUGE interest in 1967-1970 Mercury Cougars, I'm working on three of those at the same time. Good thing I'm single.
Any way, if you want to trade/swap parts what ever, I live in Nampa, Id. 83686
