I joined back in 06 and lurked for a while, figured it's time to introduce myself. I go by Groundhogg or Hogg, nickname given at work, no real reason, it
is what it is. If I meet you in person I'll tell ya the story. Really not very impressive.
Anyway...forum stuff, I've been a member of Delphi Forums for about 6 years and on a Honda Shadow Spirit forum, www.thespiritworld.org , so I'm real comfortable over there, but it's a different platform than this place. That bein said, I'll try not to fuck to much stuff up over here til I get use to it.
On a side note, many of them from TSW get together in different parts of the country (mostly east of the Mississippi) every year for different events. I'd havta say I've made some great friends through that place. Prolly closer friends than the people that I live near. We meet every year at Deals Gap, TN and a bunch of us meet up at Carlise for Bikefest (although we usually just ride, wrench and drink).
More about me, although you prolly don't care, that's cool too. I rode a bit when I was a kid, parents weren't cool with it at all. As a divorve gift to myself in 02' I got a 95 VLX. Didn't do shit to it, had it for a year and decided I wanted somethin a bit bigger. Found the spirit world and ended up getting an 03 Spirit 750. Modded the hell out of it and still own it. Came to discover I think the CB's are cool as shit and started lookin back in 05 for one with an Amen Savior plunger frame. Yup, I'm a puss, no hardtail for me. I like to be semi-comfortable when I ride 600 miles in a day.
Anyway...got one on Craigslist in 06 I think which I found on a line through here. Brought home and haven't done shit to it. Why you ask...or maybe you've just stopped reading by now....well, it's not running and I don't know shit about motors and I hate messing with Carbs. My dad's a motor guy and when he's done being selfish building himself a house him and I are gonna rebuild the motor then I'll go from there.
Oh, it's a 72' CB 750.
I plan on tearing it down to the frame, making sure everything is sound and building it back up to how I want it. I'm sure I'll have a ton of questions when I finally start turning a wrench on it. This place has already been a big help in giving me ideas and places to get parts, etc.
I posted a few pics of my Spirit and my CB under my profile. Hopefully I was semi-intelligent enough to make them viewable to you all.

I'm lousy with grammar a terrible speller and generally don't care for spellcheck. So if somethin doesn't make sense just ignore it.
