I bought some Chassis Saver paint and used it on the frame of my bike. I'm putting the thing back together, and its about time to do my headpipes again.
I asked the guy at the store how it holds up to heat, he said it'd cook right off. I used some last night a foot or two from the manifold on a MACK
engine, right at the pyrometer, where the exhaust reaches temps of 1125 peak temp. It didnt cook off after driving it around for a couple hours this morning.
My question: has anyone used this paint before on headpipes? hows it hold up? does it stay on there but lose its resistance to chipping?
If no one knows, I'll let you all know once I've tried it!
Joe
