Finally went on a real ride yesterday. When I got the bike running I went on a few shake down runs, everytime I change something I'll spin it around the
block, but I usually just use it to go where I gotta go. Never been on a ride just to ride. Went the Screaming Chicken (tore down biker bar/Vagos hangout),
where I met up with a buddy from work and a couple of his friends. Funny chit, pull up, get off, all these old timers flying their colors on newer HD's
talking about how they had one, cb750, Denver's, and what not. Place got quiet as everyone was checking my chop out. Couple beverages later and we decide
to head out, now there's my chop and 4 new Harleys (and of course they all hed their HD authorized leathers on), went up 138 toward Silverwood (great
riding, turns, twisties, and curves of all sorts), ate at a sushi spot in the middle off the boonies. Then headed the other way on the 138 toward Wrightwood,
another beautiful mountain ride. Only about 50 miles total. The funny thing is that one of the guy's wife was in the lead the whole way (chick knows how
to RIDE), and I was always a close second on my 30 year old scoot, everyone else was WAY in the back. They were tripping on how I give a spark show in every
turn. Can't wait for my next ride just to ride, even if it is with some Harley folk.
