I recently bought a 1977 cb750 k and I am interested in turning it into a bobber. I would like to hardtail it, but I have noticed there are almost no kits out
there for a 77. The person I bought the bike from has built a few Honda Choppers back in the day, and said he would weld the hardtail for me for free if I
bought one. Needless to say I would love to have this done, but want to know the best route to go. The only option I have seeen so far is the TC Bros universal
kit, which seems cheap as well even for a guy on a budget. Has anyone used this kit, and would you recommend it? Or should I go a different route?

You can Kong the frame , a LOT cheaper and easier too . Works out the same as a hardtail . This also leaves you some choices that a hardtail won't . You
can extend your swingarm first or use a longer one to gain some length in the rear section , or for somebody short ( me ) stick with the stock length .

I got 1 of there pre made weld on kits and I am pretty happy with it. Seems pretty well made if it is what you are looking for. I got it for my 75F and it
didn't mate straight up. Had to do a touch of cuttin and welding to accomodate my rear disk brake as it is designed for a K model I believe up till 76.
Just thought the info might be usefull

I was looking at the hardtail kit from tc brothers for $249, but that is for k models up to 76 and will not work with a 77. Is it possible to use?

give them a call....i have called them a couple of times and they always answer and always try to help you out as much as possible...they have answered
questions that had nothing to do with there products.
