Bringing this back to the top. I took a mental break for a little while. More or less cussing my damned luck.

Well last week, I got to chiseling and was able to get two nuts off. Today I took some bits, and my chisel and got the other two off. The only casualties were the studs and the nuts. No damage to the heads.

The barrels look good at a first glance. Not scoring, though it is glazed. And it appears that I have a totally stick motor. And things on the inside (so far) look solid.

The pistons have Honda on one side and 300 on the other, would this be a stock piston?

I may just go for a hone and maybe spring for a set of rings. I am still gonna clean it up and wire wheel off the old powder and repaint it. Any suggestions on paint brands?
