as far as checking you ign. its fairly easy. make sure the rotor and the modules are clean. no grease on the magnet.make sure the rotor isnt rubbing on the modules. twist the rotor and make sure it snaps back. check with the motor cold and hotcheck ALL connections between battery, coils and dyna. disconnect dyna wires from the coils and put negative lead of ohmmeter on the mounting plate and the positve lead of ohmmeter on one of the coil leads (blue or yellow) from the dyna. it should read infinite. do that on both the blue and yellow coil leads. thats with the DYNA UNHOOKED!!!!
as far as coils just check the primary resistance ( between the positve terminal and the terminal that your dyna wire connects to. and the secondary leads between the 2 plug leads. im not sure the readings that you should get on the coils . but if you have 3 ohm coils then the resistance between your primary resistance would be damn close to 3 ohm. i hope that at least helps narrow the problem down!
