You may try clipping 1/4 inch off the ends of the spark plug wires just to make sure the plug caps are making contact with the wire. I had a problem with cylinders not firing and after I did that It smoothed out considerably. New plugs and this could be all you need. After you unscrew the plug caps, look at the end of the wire to see if there is any copper wire visible. If not, clip till you see some, then screw the cap back on the wire. Worked for me.

By the way, I'm not that smart to have figured that out on my own. cntrhub had the insight on that one!
