I found a lump of fiber glass resin and metal debris in my oil pan. Screen was almost completely blocked. Blocked oil restricter plate to right side of cam resulting in total waste of cam one cam tower and head pretty gouged up.

Running a 72 k motor with a 75 f model head now. I rebuilt it this time myself with my friend James. And it runs like a champ now.... And yes anytime I inspect my motor or am getting ready for a trip I open my tappets and shine a light inside to make sure I'm getting proper oil up top.. And I"m gonna drop my oil pump and inspect my pan and screen again before heading to auburn for the west coast meet...... A bit of time in motor inspection from time to time can save you a ruined trip and a lot of money and frustration.
