Great day for a ride on Saturday.  Just me and my buddy Mark on the flood run.  It was the 50th anniversary so I got my 50th anniversary button.  I didn't realize it had been going on that long.

I was on my CB900c since the CB750's were not ready for the haul.  The locations were lacking in the 750 department.

We got to Diamond Bluff around 10:30.  We stayed there about an hour, had a few libations and when it started to fill up, we headed down the road to Maiden Rock.  We got down there about 12 and I looked for the Rochester boys in the usual spot, but they were no where to be found.  We had a bite to eat and hung around there until about 1:30 before we headed to Nelson.  It seemed like as we were leaving each time, we were staying ahead of the crowds.

We had a few more libations at Nelson and sat in lawn chairs and soaked up the sun.  By then it was in the mid 70's and the ladies were out.  About 3 we decided to ride the WI side to Winona so we headed out and came back on the MN side back to Wabasha where we felt thirsty again.  We headed back to Nelson across the bridge and stayed there till about 5:30 in the ribs joint eating $1 ribs and .50 wings.  About 6, the weather looked like it would open up so we headed home.  All in all I put on about 200 miles.

And today, it's sleeting/snowing/raining and windy as h-e-double-hockey-stick.

I know, this post is no good without pics.  As soon as I find my camera cord, I'll post some.

This has been your travel guide, Pfunky.  Please return your waitresses to their upright and locked position.
