I use Berryman's for the gunky stuff, and that white or yellow hard buildup if there I use CLR. They only need to be in the CLR about 20 minutes, then rinse them in cold water then dip them in a Baking Soda solution to counteract the acid and stop the etching.

The shiny stuff all over is just good old fashioned elbow grease, but those two dips above have never failed me as far as a good cleaning goes.

I'd rather give someone a tool than a solution. Give them an answer and they'll always expect it. Teach them how to find the answers for themselves and they will spend a lifetime learning.
