As I tend to stay to myself I didn't spend much time with Mike but was fortunate to have enough time with him to realize his unique contribution to us and to the world. I also had a one-on-one with his Dad. My Mike story:

During our memorial ride for Mike at the Roost is when I went off that 10' embankment. I believe he assisted with my luck. Per Dave who was behind me and saw my flight said the bike should have landed on top of me but somehow did not. Additionally where I landed (on soft brush) and more so where I didn’t land (rocks and trees). Walking away w/very minor injuries. The nurse that showed up in the middle of nowhere and on and on. I was very focused on him during that ride thinking how he would have enjoyed being with friends, riding, just enjoying the experience. Also, it was mentioned by different folks at different times that they thought they heard Mike’s bike during the run and “felt” him go by. So yea. A very special person/soul. Like I've heard people say many many times I didn't spend much time with him but feel I know him well thx to you guys and I greatly appreciate it. This is a wonderful family we have here.
