My experience usually shows they let loose within seconds of turn over [cam timing] or minutes of running [without oil] someplace. Running for months should have shown excessive wear, i.e., noise, to overheating, then freeze on the side of the road. So if this 'cooking' was pushing out a lot of heat, you make no mention, along with any noise going on. Sounds like we had enough oil from the first star up? What do you think, kind of relieved or lets hear a second/third/ect/ opinion(s)?
