69 carbs? Bullpussy! The later round tops with the lifter plate assembly eliminated
a lot of re-adjustment issues. When the cable pull carbs were in they were fine but,
they were finicky and tended to go out far more often than their lifter plate brothers.
Ain't touched the carbs on my 74 in almost 4 years and a little over one trip around the
equator. Hell, the plugs have over 15K on them too.

77-78 keyholes are fine providing they are well maintained. They also seem to have no problem
feeding a big bore/cammed motor either.

Ask Houndog750, the few he's worked on are more like a few thousand.

When it comes to carbs, if Houndog750 says it, make book on it.
