Rake. I plan to fab a safety mechanism that will support all the weight when not lowering or lifting. It will automatically set as the lift goes up and will require a manual lever to bypass while lowering. I realize that a jack would bleed down and not slam down if it fails but I also like the idea of using a button to control the up and down of the lift. My hf lift takes about 60 licks on the lever to lift of there is weight on the lift. I also want one that is abnormally long, wide, and tall. I want it wide enough to put the bike down on the kickstand. Currently the hf lift, I must line the bike up on the right side if the lift to place on kickstand. I will also make a heavy front wheel roll lock setup to make it easier one man op. I will also hookup up electrical directly on the lift to eliminate them pesky extension cords.
