Like I said, this happened almost two years ago. I waited to renew my FOID card until I was off probation and fines were paid, just so there wouldn't be any bs! The wife wanted to drop the charges, it was the states attorney that pursued it! About the only thing I may be able to do is have it expunged off my record. Ultimately, if it were just for me, it wouldn't bother me that much because I haven't hunted with a gun in years, I only use bow, which is still legal for me to use. But I have two daughters that I hope will find an interest in hunting and want to be able to teach them the way I was taught. My eight year old already has a bb gun (a pink red Ryder to boot lol) and loves to shoot. My 5 yr old is chomping at the bit to be able to also. I value my right to own a gun just as much if not more than having a drivers license! Only time and money will tell I guess!

if in doubt, KONG it!!!
