I don't recall a different style being suggested, just to not use lowering blocks that reposition the shocks in this way. I's also think that if your shocks are already lower than stock, the new angle would be even more extreme than with stock shocks, and maybe an even worse condition. Keep in mind that I have absolutely no experience with lowering blocks, I just have a bike that has them... but I've never ridden the bike. Like LRT mentions in his comments (see string below), it may be that if a lighter fella not riding 2-up would likely not have as much of an issue as a heavier rider(s).
