Red Good...Thanks for the kind comments..I am staying with chain......
Super hardened ring gear machined off with a ceramic cutter..(not by me..I can't afford them kind of tools!). I just got to make a cover for the little internal gears and buy a couple of 1-3/4" flanged bearing/housings for each side.

71CHOP and Red.....Yep IRS. I might have to use u-joints though...them CV shafts and stuff are super hard and not recomended to weld or modify in any way. A hacksaw blade just slides along like it was in upside down!!! Sucks..trying to adapt metric shafts and splines to standard stuff from the 1970's...Trying to things cheap, reliable, and safe can be a very fine line.

Jonnycakes...lol...I was at an auction....some cabinet shop had a palet of cupboard doors that were mismatched, discolored, warped, holes in wrong place, etc...I bought all the doors for $4.00 a piece..bought some 1/2" birch plywood, some hinges, and made the cabinet boxes to fit the doors.
