I've run earlier versions of Mint. I check the shell and OS sites regularly. I have a couple of disposable boxes here. I'll try it, but for the average "end user" Winblows is about all there is.

About once a year I go through and see whose distros have advanced. These days I don't have as much time to though.

The most hardware lenient I've run so far is Kubuntu. That and Kanotix. The fastest live CD I've run so far is DSL or Puppy. Ran Puppy on an old Stinkpad for a long time. Saved my settings to the whopping 20 gig HDD.

I really wish MicroSphincter had not squelched GEOS or DesQview.

Watch the torrents. Send me a PM for some helpful info if you do. That's how the RIAA and MPAA nails people. The bait and record IPs. Months or years later they come calling.

I'd rather give someone a tool than a solution. Give them an answer and they'll always expect it. Teach them how to find the answers for themselves and they will spend a lifetime learning.
