Hey Lambchopper. You can do the same fix as Houndog went over with a slight modifeecation. Instead of splicing the wires together you can actually drill into the coil where the wires come out and run yer finish nail into the wire there and push the new wire onto the nail making the connection inside the coil and seal with sillycone. It makes a cleaner installation and holds together well. I am running a set like that on my bike with no issues. Just drill in about 3/4 of an inch or so making the hole the same diameter as the replacement wires. Easy greasy !
