Thanks for a more clear description of your product Wompy.

So can you tell me more about the material you are using? Is there something in the real world that is made of this material I can relate to in my home? That would better help me understand exactly what it is. What is this material typically used for? What must be done to care for it? Does gas eat into the surface? Will the color change on it as it ages? Can this material dry out or become brittle and crack? Can it be painted? If so, does it require a special treatment or particular primer? Can it be polished in any way? Can it be engraved? Got any pics looking down into the unit? Do you have pics of them mounted on a bike in the daylight?

I think answering some of these questions would certainly help the reception and sales significantly and may help us understand why the price is what it is. I for one am not cheap and will spend on a part that has value, regardless of the actual price tag. And yes, we are cautious when new people show up selling items in the first few posts of being on the site. This has nothing to do with you specifically but rather more to do with your predecessors and the many times we have been burned by similar experiences. I think you will find this board much different from others in that most of us all know each other even though we are spread out throughout the country and make quite a bit of effort to get together for meets, help build each others' bikes and go out of our way to assist another who needs help even if we have never shaken hands.

I hope you understand where people are coming from. Sometimes a weak sales pitch can get handled by the members roughly because enough imformation has not been provided for them to understand properly as seen here. So I'll tell you what I have told many other new guys here.

Welcome to my backyard. Pull up a lawn chair and stay awhile.
