Sorry Barry, no pics. Too busy getting from point A to point B so we could enjoy the scenic areas we were headed for. Joe, the black hills are incredible. Worth the trip. As far as Alaska goes, I'd have to do a lot of research before I'd even consider it. My wife gets about 100 miles to the tank. We gassed up at this little station out in the middle of nowhere next to this other BMW guy and followed him down the road a bit. First deserted mountain road he was gone. The HD guys always make a point of giving us hard looks, to match the dew rags and the vests, I guess. The BMW guys were polite but didn't take much notice of anyone else. Never saw any out on the open road but near those deserted roads was where they'd be. From what I saw those beemers go 100 mph over any kind of surface.

The most interesting bikers me met were this pair of bikes we followed for about 80 miles in Wyoming. We'd catch glances at them in the distance from time to time. As we got closer it looked like they were sychonrized swimmers, doing everything in unison. We could tell they had fairings and that just added to the effect. When we finally caught up to and passed them they were this older couple riding matching goldwings. They looked to be in their 70's. I thought that was cool. So, Tumpy, I guess they're the real bikers.
