This is what your carbs would look like if every owner up until you cleaned them when they retired them for winter, and cleaned them again before starting up for the first time in the spring. If youre going to let her sit, CLEAN HER!! D= I keep seeing posts of people who have a set for sale, but they havent been cleaned out yet. Clean those carbs out, then you can shelf them. That way they wont be gummed up when yuo want to use them. The set that I replaced sat for 15 years before I got the bike, and it looks like someone dumped acid in one of them.

Lowlifechop, my No1 is usable, my No2 is poor but usable, No3 is pretty much trash, and No4 is usable too, I think. My main issue with them was that the idle jets had been clogged, I cleaned them out though. Also, the REALLY big issue was that the valves in at least one of them wont shut off. No3's valve seat is severely pitted. I'll hook them up to a tank and see if any others are overfilling also.
