Make sure jug #1 is on the compression/combustion stroke (both valves closed). If it's on the exhaust stroke the slack in the cam chain is at the front, not back and adjusting the tensions does no good.

I'd rather give someone a tool than a solution. Give them an answer and they'll always expect it. Teach them how to find the answers for themselves and they will spend a lifetime learning.
