All I know is that an oval hole will make itself round again if the spoke is pulling on it. I have heard of people reaming them out, but would never dream of it myself. I cannot even imagine what wide hub that rim is drilled for!?! If you look at the tutorials on lacing bicycle rims, the spokes are bent "around" eachother where they intersect. If the spokes are uniformly tight and you check them periodically (especially at first when the spokes go through stress cycles) I think you will be o.k.
