Did you read my last post right before you Lenny? I also emailed him several times with ZERO response. I really was going to pay him a visit when picking up
the CBX as I was within 30 minutes from him. Phuck him, he turned out to be exactly what the post predicted. Zero response from a zero.
Mark, why don't you post here and set me straight? I'm ready to hand out an apology. Stopped in one time to hawk his shit. If you ask me, I'd rather not have the "ads" if you know what I mean? I like the fact, or would like to think that the group is tight enough here that I can trust the others. I fully support new people becoming part of the community BEFORE trying to use the site for personal profit or gain. It bothers me when guys get burned here because that means I may get burned also. So, I guess I will continue to be tough on ALL NFG's trying to sell shit. I'll stay on the soap box for a while and see if he shows up.

We really do need to watch who rolls through here .. We've definitely had our share ...
Chink-a-dink from Florida.. ChopperMike from Texas (not our own choppermike52).. Al Doss from California, I believe .. Just to name a few .. But there have been others .. Its very important to watch for the hawkers out there .. The biggest hustle seems to be frames .. seems everybody is a welder in their garage or basement .. But man, I've seen some of the examples and we really need to watch what comes in and out of here for the safety of all of us.. Don't misunderstand .. This is no reflection to Marks Customs here .. I really don't any more than the rest of you .. and if hes a true business man he will respect that and welcome the chance to prove himself .. Having said that though ... The idea of offering to build a frame and bike using your old neck and serial number as a basis makes me a bit suspect .. That in itself is technically not a legal frame .. Is it done all the time ..?? of course .. Do people get away with it ..?? of course .. But, it still isn't legal and advertising that you'll do it may not be the best way to gain a good seat on the cruise ship here at hondachopper.com ... But we'll see...

That's why you got to ask the hard questions.
Send some clown your neck and $500 and on your first long run the drame comes apart at 80mph and you dead. It's one thing if you weld your own frame wrong but to weld someone else's wrong and take money for it is a whole nother story. I like it that most guys here are truely watching each other's asses.

It was a pretty hosed deal if I remember ..
Another member here (Maxtonnage I believe ) had won it on Ebay and didn't really need it ... Then Chalfa, I believe, said he was interested in it ... Max sold it to him for what he paid and had the seller ship it to Chalfa. When it was dicovered what a pos it was .. Max stepped up and gave him some of his money back..

I guess he ain't showing up! I greet almost everyone who posts in the "welcome" section. That is where I would like to meet "sellers"
first. I really do not want to purchase from someone who has not become part of the community. There are better chances that someone cares about the product or
service they are selling if they feel like they know the people buying it. Less risk for the buyer. I do not want to read about a frame or wheel coming apart
on a friend from the board either. The trouble for me can be complex. I am very regular here and have been but I am not a long time user of the site yet so I
do not know some of the older members who show up after being gone a while. What makes it even more difficult is some older members have come back with new
screen names so I cannot tell if they have been around before.

i can.i thought that the whole deal was funky to start with but am still learning what is a good idea, and what is not.i would like to see a bright future for
my fellow hcmfer's,and whatching each others backs is the way to do it.so my question is for tommy and chuck ,can we post a rule for sales of chopper
related parts and services that say you must first contibute to the site for a specified time and or recieve permission from the gotf first, before offering

That's a thought ... but I think if we just watch out for each other .. we'll be good .. If you think about it.. Cycle Ex as well as Steve at Working Class Choppers aren't regulars around here and don't support us in any way .. but to
sell us parts.. yet they are quite legit and treat us all fairly .. Both offer up stuff for our 750s that would be hard to get anyplace else..

I even tried to visit this guy in an effort to check him out. I would have been able to report to the board how or what I had seen. It could have really helped
him had he followed up with me when I was diligently trying to reach him. Too bad.
Ken at Cycle X is a great guy. I have visited him and I have posted several times to that notion. I have purchased products from him as well. He is very knowledgeble and helpful. We need his business here, no question. But I think he has proven himself and his product over time. Certainly long before I came around anyways. It is the "first post" fellows that I will always be tough on if they are trying to sell something, products or services. Watch my back guys, I'm watching yours.

It was that same piece of shit fram that came out of FL and before that Maine, DFB saw it in FL and walked away from it, but the original welding came from
Maine. got cut up for scrap I would hope.
