How hot is to hot for you to take out your CB? It's about 110 degrees today in Las Vegas. I have other motorcycles to ride but really want to take the CB
out. I've got a strong running motor but I don't have an oil cooler or a temp gauge. I just don't want to over heat. What are your thoughts? Late.

If you take it out, don't get caught in traffic (keep the air flowing!!!) and listen to the motor. If it starts to ping or knock its getting too hot and it
needs a rest, so ease off the throtle and stop and take a break.

Damn only 110 here it gets 114 in the summer and I use to ride my 1970 CB750 all summer and winter without a oil cooler . Stop and go will let them heat up but
not to hot if you have your timing off it will really over heat...

Most would probably think I am crazy, but I've always run straight 40 in the hotter summer months.
It was Honda first, all through the middle, and if I have my way, till the end as well.
Most people say what they'll do. Very few actually do what they say. |

Highway driving shouldn't be a problem at all, but city driving is a different matter. If you notice a loss of power then the motor is overheating and
it's time to pull over for a cold one or two.

I run straight 60 weight in mine. don't know if or how much it helps but you can sure feel it in the kicker.
