Mine says CB750E 2524128, but that doesn't seem to fit any of the groups, I am apparently some kind of idiot. The timeline makes me think 750K'76, but
the K series class chart makes me think it doesn't exist.

i'd say you're right; you're higher than CB750E-2428762 (1976 K model), but once you hit CB750E-2700001, you're into the '77 CB750K's.

I'd say that you have a '75 F0 engine. Honda had different starting serial numbers for the K,F,A engines. I don't think that the "F" was
always stamped in '75.

I have CB750E2516525 and CB750E2528184 both from '76 Super Sports. I was thinking that they were from "k" models since they don't have the
"f" in the serial number, but maybe they're "f" motors? Where can I find the exact mechanical differences between the f and k motors? I
looked pretty hard but all I can find are things like they say a "different cam", or "different clutch". I have "k" motors too,
and I can't tell any difference in the way they look or perform.

From John Wyatt's book:
" The '75 F engines had a new cylinder head with sportier camshaft,and higher compression pistons. Clutch basket and plates were modified to cope with the extra power. There were closer gear ratios." " The 1976 F1 engines were the same until 2551568 when the pistons and rings were updated." Mick Duckworths book: "...extended cam timings and higher lift,compression ration upped slightly to 9.2:1, 17 tooth output sprocket and alterations to 4th and 5th gears." The easiest way to tell might be to use a degree wheel on the cam? I guess I was kind of hoping for an easy way to tell from the outside.
