Roadkill Savior wrote: It's obviously not a Honda frame either. I'd keep looking. Too big a hassle to redo motor mounts when a good 750 savior frame is not really that
hard to come by.

I'm with Jerry, by the time you re-worked that frame to fit a SOHC750
you could build one from scratch. |

seriously, That seems alot to pay for a rebuild kit. I'm sure you can find one cheaper.

Ok - now that's a savior. You're looking for the entire suspension?
Two choices 1 - guy on ebay goes by Miloroy that sells everything but the springs and axle - I think like $450 or so. The springs you can find in various places - I think the top ones are a pretty close match for springs on certain springers, the bottoms ones you can get from an automotive supply house - cost around $125. Then you need an axle - try OldHippy - as I recall he was making them - $50 bucks or so. Don't quote me on any of these as they aren't mine and most likely subject to change. 2 - ask around and see what you can find from people that have extra parts. You will probably get it a lot cheaper, but will have to deal with things like replacing bushings, having parts not looking like a matched set because some parts are more used than others, etc. |

the harley frame that I showed before was just to show what they did to replace the rear insted of springs, I was thinking of welding 1/4 plate in the spring
mount , and mounting my rear wheel that way like a hardtail without all the cutting.

You could make up some sort of solid "tube" - round or square and have the option of ride heigth. You could use a longer DOHC axle, maybe a stock
would fit or go to a different axle size (Harley). You cant/shouldn't weld in a plate because you would lose the option of adjusting your chain.
Every now and then, some parts or a whole AMEN weld on "tail" will show up on ebay.
I'm old enough to know better.... yeah right, like that's ever gonna happen oldhemi@sbcglobal.net
