We never really talk about religion around here (other than prayers for each other) but I was wondering if there's a plan for a church service the Sunday
morning during the WHCM. If there isn't then I'd like to suggest, for any interested, that we have an impromptu service at the Roost. I got the
suggested readings from my pastor, and I'd love the chance to share God's Word with you guys. Anyone interested?

How about a ride up to one of the lookouts on the Blueridge Parkway, like grandfather mountain, where we can all say a prayer and you can lead?

Probably never happened as the Saturday Midnight auction / party goes on till the wee hours of Sunday morning, most everyone sleeps in for awhile. Those who
are up for it will no doubt take you up on the offer.

That's the truth.....I stumbled up to the shitter at about 5 in the morning because I had to leave early to make it back through Detroit before dark and
when I passed DAWG, I think he was just getting to sleep. LOL

Kudos to you Nick. Brave of you to offer this. Most folks just slide on through without making a fuss when it comes to sharing their faith. Don't want to
offend someone or some such excuse. Good thing Jesus didn't do that!
While your at it, check around the area and see if there are any Christian bike orgs with a Chapter in that neck of the woods. Invite them down for the weekend. I'm in CMA and go to rallies all the time that are wild, wooly and raw. I make a point at NOT being offended by lewd and riotous behavior because I'm on their turf and not in church. I don't act high and mighty and self righteous either. There but for the grace of God go I.... Cuz I've been there - done that - burned the T-shirt. Sharing the Gospel isn't all about preaching and screeching and trying to make people feel bad about themselves. It's about LOVE and brotherhood. (strains of Doobie Brothers "Jesus is just alright" starts playing in background....) There are numerous Christian bike clubs, orgs and associations to choose from. Many of their members are drawn right out of the "highways and hedges" of life. Our chapter Chaplain is a former member of a couple 1% clubs (Chosen Few and Straight Satans). My pastor ran around with HAMC , back in the day, in the Oakland CA area. Just goes to show that God loves everyone, no matter their current (or past) circumstances. do you mind sharing some of the scriptures ? or sermon suggestions ?
I conducted Prayer over every meal last year (by request) at the WCHCM this year it will be scaled back some (more private) also did a Annual Blessing of the Bikes (and riders) we have allready got it planned for Saturday this year and if you want to do a Bike Blessing @ the world event let me know and I will send you some Bike Blessing stickers as well as the Blessing seramony (Prayer) send sermons to me @ jdshaw@thechaplainscorner.org or feel free to register and post them @ the link below in my signiture |

Yep...Dawg had just woke up on the bench around 4am and was crawling in to his tent that was laying flat.....he was sleeping sitting up and we took turns
decoating him.....lol.....I remember him trying to put his tent up the day before...I dont think he ever got the tent poles to stay up.....lol
