Since I am having such a fiasco over getting my frame built. I figured I do it right and buy one from them. Does anyone have one of the pro-street frames? I
like the look of it. Ken if ur out there will my dohc (i know bad word) still fit in this frame with the floating motor mounts. Just want to get an idea of
what some finished bikes look like comparatively between the boxer and pro street frame.

A DOHC is about 3/4" wider than a SOHC and the mounts are a bit different on the upper ones. I *think* you could get DOHC mounts into a boxer frame but it
would have to be made slightly different to get teh required width.
What's your frame fiasco? Someone supposed to be doing it for you, or are you doing it yourself and having problems? |

I was getting a frame built from a guy who does sandrails here in Las Vegas. I bought a neck and papers from a guy off this site and he has flaked on me. So I
figure for a couple hundred dollars more I wouldnt mind getting something tried and true. I also checked out alleycatscustoms but I am not sure. Purchase date
looks like two away

I dropped a DOHC engine into a 69 SOHC frame, the bottom front and back motor mounts lined up(long bolts), I did have to fabricate the top front mounts
though. and didn't use the top rear...it worked pretty well...the exhaust just hung a little low, i also had to cut the two backbone side rails to get it
in, and reinforce the center one.

i've got the pro-boxer frame (kind of a mix of the two), but it's not nearly done.
you can see it here. can't really help you on the DOHC question. n
