Put it all together, added fluid and tried to bleed the brakes. I got nothing...no pressure. I'm doing the hose off the bleeder into a jar of brake fluid trick. I got nothing. It felt (and looked) like there was nothing coming out of the caliper. I pulled the hose off the back of the M/C and almost nothing came out. Even if I pump the lever, I get nothing out. I open the top, the M/C is full of fluid. Any suggestions as to why I can't get any pressure in the system at all? "Therapy is extremely expensive. Poppin bubble wrap is radically cheap. Posts: 261 (05/12/08 5:31 PM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	If the guts of the master cylinder went together ok and didn't rip and you're sure you got the passages up top cleaned out well, you probably have a big air blockage up there. If you pull the brake handle back about 1/2 inch and let it snap back quickly to normal position you should see a couple of air bubbles come up. Do that untill you start to feel some pressure in the handle. Be careful though - you will get some splashing in the master cylinder, so watch the paint! If it still gives you trouble, open the bleeder, get a couple of beers and let it "gravity bleed" for a while. Good luck! You know, this used to be a helluva good country. When I pulled the bleeder off, I tried to blow through it with my mouth and got NOTHING. Finally got that piece to vent picks and WD-40 but that makes me wonder about the condition of the caliper itself. I'm gonna pull that off tomorrow, tear it down, clean it up and see what I can find. I tried two M/C's today with no luck. So I'm thinking lines or caliper. I'm gonna start with the most cost effective solution and hit the caliper first. Then it's on to the lines. Oh yeah, this is my buddy's bike. He's tired of spending 3.60 for gas in his truck and wants more than 20 - 25 mpg. I'm sure I'll find more of these stock issues to deal with that I haven't encountered in years since I've been dealing with either no brakes, drum brakes or flat out chopped setups. I tried to snake a piece of wire through it to get the clog out and there was nothing but rubber in there. Either the old brake fluid ate up and swelled up the rubber or someone got some kind of solvent in there at some point. You know, this used to be a helluva good country. I put one of mine on it to pop the piston out of the caliper so I could clean it up. Then put it all back together and it tightened up in nothing flat. Put his back on and I got nothing.
