Vent tubes off bottom of carb |
Lead | |
|
Where do the four vent tubes that are off of the bottom of the bowl on the carb go? Do they vent in front of the rear wheel like everything else? Why the hell
does everything have a vent tube that spits out something. I have tubes that are everywhere that don't seem to go anywhere. Once I get this baby up and
going it will run like a raped ape but until then it's gonna fight me the whole way.

they aren't vent tubes, but overflow tubes. If they are spitting gas, either your floats arent set right or Your floats are sticking. you loose those
hoses, and the the overflows will just dump gas on your engine. Unless you get that problem worked out.

All it takes is a small piece of dirt stuck in a float seat to make you wish that you left them on, or that the fire dept would get to the scene sooner before
there's nothing left but a black stain in the blacktop.
Fugly is a burned up bike...... My.0000002 cents |

Group them up neatly , and direct them out the bottom of the bike . Routing is your choice . ( if you want to keep them )

I use to run with out them but they will occasional drip for sure and you will be sorry when they do. I put them back on but routed the tubes through the
starter cover with little rubber grommets for each one. looked neater that way and kept fuel off my electrics and motor.
