You'll need a measurement . If you're not sure , put a jack under the frame , take the shocks off , lower to where you like it , then measure center to
center on the mounting bolts .

I have a couple of sets, I know one pair is 9", I'll check tonight after work to make sure they aren't for my HOGEATER(KZ1000) ,

Even if they are different .. you can use a longer bolt and a tube spacer inside the clevis to adapt that eyelet mount to the clevis mount.. The strut will sit
a little off center .. but that shouldn't matter .. I wouldn't suggest this with a shock though ..
Build it the way you want it ..... then learn how to ride it like you own it..

i want to run lowering struts or shorty shocks if i can find them, but would i need lowering shocks if i use a swing arm from a dohc the is about 2 inches
longer

Stump, if you're sure about going with a DOHC swing arm then start with that first and see how she stands.
It may well be low enough. If not, go with shorter shocks. One step at a time usually keeps you from too many wrong purchases. |

NO, if you use the DOHC swingarm it lowers the rear about 2", if you wanted to go lower you could also use shorty shocks.
