what about those spacer tubes we were discussing? what is the average length of spacer? if it were to have the "sine wave" ribs, how far apart should
they be for say a 6 or 8 inch length of material? 20 mm axle hole, but how large for the outside diameter on the thick and thin area?

Hey Java, here's the drawing for the basic blanking plate, my cad program doesn't do exports to JPG too well, so I'm sending you the cad file. But
at least you can take a look and forward the cad file to your friend.

I'm working on a staged process with these ideas, the basic blank off plate & bolt, then a slightly different version that would have ports that for a
remote filter, the base machining would be the same with only a step added or removed depending on which version is being made. I've also got a oil cooler
design sketched out that I need to finish, it's pretty simple and adaptable to about any bike. Here's something else you can forward along, it's a
set of struts, they were designed for harley type mounts and are made of alum. We sold quite a few of these at my old shop for $100.00 a set, they're
simple, pic should be all your friend needs.

hey, i'm looking for a one off part. a pair of knuckles, slim and light. not made from brass though, to heavy and would cost too much.
I was born with nothing and still have most of it.

Woogaus, I'm really interested in seeing your "slightly different version." I'd like to be able to mount oil coolers up front and and
aircraft oil filters behind the engines. RR

Ok, I've finished up the drawings of the blank off and adapter plate and both bolts. A little carpe diem here though, I did all my measuring on a '74
CB750 K model engine using a digital caliper and I tried to be as accurate as possible. The 20mm bolt diameter size I got from another post here, when I
measure the one I have in hand I get 19.68mm, my recommendation is to make the bolt first and make sure it fits correctly in the engine and then bore the hole
in the plate to match it. The stock bolt has an o-ring groove machined into it
just beneath the head, I didn't include that because I figured a teflon sealing washer like is used on oil drain plugs would work just as well. I've
formatted my drawings into PDF files so anyone can look at them. Also, you'll see on the adapter drawings, I marked the fitting holes as 1/4" NPT, I
used this size since it's fairly standard, this can be changed to suit your specifics.

Very nice. Very simple. Makes me feel dumb for not being able to figure it out. The center-drilled/NPT-threaded adapter bolt is the key. Great job! Thanks!
Okay... Who's gonna make 'em and how much???
If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much room!

Cool, thanks Woogaus. I'll turn one of these as soon as I get my lathe moved into my new shop space and wired up. I'll post pics when I do.
God damn you all, I was right
