I drilled two sets of mine out. The holes were 8mm, and I drilled and tapped to 10 mm. It wasn't too bad just keep the angles right. For one exhaust that
used the half moons, I got 10 mm all-thread and cut to lenght. I cut slots in the one end to screw them in since I didn't want to over tighten a screw up
the threads. Them tightened both nuts in each exhaust snug and evenly. The spiggot types I used 10 mm allen head screws, no problems.

Hmmmmmm different year. but I'm running a 72 k model lower end and jug and a 75 f model head. Been like that for a year and runs even better than
normal...I think the 75 had slightly bigger valves..

Heads from all years should be able to interchange I believe ..
The questionable difference is the size of the orface that feeds the top end oil beneath the cam towers .. The later years had larger holes .. and the last years .. a bit larger yet .. Thats why its best to keep cylinders and head together to be sure .. However I've used the later heads with earlier cylinders and not had any leakage at that seal.. But.. as always .. just because I got away with that .. doesn't make that swap gospel.. I wouldn't mix and match cylinders and heads (that have difference orface sizes..that is..) if I didn't have to .. But if thats all I had here .. I'd certainly give it a try ..
Build it the way you want it ..... then learn how to ride it like you own it..
