Brief history on what led me to want a bobber. I've always loved hot rods and lowriders, but never really cared too much for bikes until "Nappy" from the Jockey Journal wrote a thread about started a Yamaha bobber out of steel tubing and spare parts and had built it for $300. This bike looked sick as hell and had an effect on me. My buddy who has been collecting various types of motorcylces and told me had a Honda that would make a good chopper. Up until I saw the Yamaha, I thought only a Harley could be a chopper. Like most people, I only saw the $100,000 garbage billet buckets on the Discovery Channel. Noone ever told me about the Metric side of things, which is in my price range. Yeah, that's my daily. It's cooler then yours, I know, I know. They are backlogged right now from jerks like me trying to get there bikes ready for Spring. They've already knocked out a super-fresh CB750 Automatic, which I guess is pretty rare, but it looks KILLER, they put running boards and a springer fork on her. (I wouldn't mind having one myself) I'll put up pics as I get updates. They should have her cut and welded within a week or so. I'll keep you guys posted because I want the input, experience, critisicm, and maybe the odd lead on a part or two. I'm shooting for a late 60's stock wheelbase bobber look, so be on the lookout!!!!! I haven't been by in the last few days, but one of the workers had an old twisted springer fork that he slanged me for $200. It needs to be trimmed. He wants $200 for it and will cut it to fit the stock rake. I'm pumped!!!! More updates as they come in. I'm thinking about selling the parts I'm not using. I'll put up a for sale topic when I get them all together. Anyone interested contact me. I'll put them up here first, then eBay. John
