TEXAS RON If it's like the new fined ones like I bought, they have a cheap ass rubberized gasket on them and not an o-ring. You are better off getting some
gasket material and making your own.

2nd that! The finned one's I've got have those flat rubber gaskets- they pinch/bunch-up when you try to screw the caps in- I finally got 'em to seal allright (by using some grease to allow 'em to spin till they seated) but some paper gaskets or o-rings would be better. Roadkill- dude I'm sorry- haven't forgotten/ not blowing you off- just haven't had 20 minutes in the last couple days to grab some bats/ dig out the covers/ shoot & post the pics. I'd go get batts right now but it's tornados and hail outside! Tommorrow (I promise!). Again- sorry bud! |

Hey Ron, I have an big sheet of gasket material, need some?
Also, I have a "kit" from Harbor freight with Nitrile O rings, maybe I can match a stock version to what diameter you need, can you give that number or does it match a stock ring and fit in the finned version?

they make a black gasket material but it's not rubber like the ones in the new finned covers. It would take a thin o-ring or it wouldn't thread down
enough. Javahut, if you use the henry abe tappets use a good (new)o-ring in them. they are easy to over tighten and the rocker top will hit them.
