I was running Champion RA6HCs but I wanted to try a 4 instead of the 6, I couldn't find 4s so these are what the store come up with for an NGK crossover. It seems odd though they cross to a champ 4 and 6. Does it look like I am running lean, or my heat range is to hot, look at where the line is on the electrode, or both. http://www.flickr.com/photos/10890730@N04/2474121165/ Heres a pic of what my champs look like after about 2000 miles. Huh? umm, Yeah.

Posts: 4433 (05/07/08 8:23 PM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	wow..that champ dont look right.. the color on the ground strap should only extend to the bend/curve in it..not all the way to the base..it indicates the wrong heat range plug, which is very odd, cause the champ RA6HC`s, and or the champ RA8HC`s, should both be pretty close to correct, with the RA8HC, being a tad hotter..so to speak.. 74rat when in doubt..knock`um out...H.C.C.M.F LOCAL 6978 Flint Michigan..3rd most dangerous city in the USA..come back and visit us..sorry we "missed" you the first time..LOL

I backed off my points just a tad, I set them with a dwell meter. I had them at 24.5, I opened them to 23-23.25, and reset my timing. I am running a 78 motor/carbs 110 jets, v-stacks, homeade 4-4 pipes, and DOHC coils. I still want to find 1 step colder plugs to try them out. Any other ideas?

Posts: 327 (05/08/08 5:48 AM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	My .2 worth and I want change...might be running a tad lean with the 110 jets /v stacks which will make it run a bit hot which is what the plug seems to be showing. can't really tell if what the ceramic looks like so I can't say more God damn you all, I was right H. G. Wells

It probably runs pretty hot as is. It was Honda first, all through the middle, and if I have my way, till the end as well. Most people say what they'll do. Very few actually do what they say.
